Keep up with what’s new
Find recent improvements on the home page, read new releases in your Updates inbox, and refresh for new features when your work is ready.
Read new releases at your pace
Sign in and use the Updates bell beside Account in Projects or the editor. Opening the inbox leaves releases unread; Read update acknowledges one release and Mark all read acknowledges the releases available when you click it.
Image and video previews appear beside the release copy when a release includes them. Click a preview to expand it or play its video. Previewing media does not mark the release read.
Earlier releases stay in Browse all releases, which opens the public changelog in another tab. Your inbox keeps the latest 30 releases published after your account’s starting point, with an unread count covering all eligible releases.
Refresh when your work is ready
When a newer version is detected, Update & refresh appears in a small toast near the top and in Updates. Reading the notes does not dismiss the refresh option. Later hides the toast for that version in this tab.
The app saves before refreshing and stays open if the save fails. Finish or cancel active edits and wait for your model to open first. Offline tabs must reconnect; demos and converted documents need an editable saved copy.
Refreshing reopens the saved project. Undo history and temporary selections reset. Tabs opened before this feature launched need one ordinary refresh to begin receiving future update notices.
- Finish or cancel your current edit and make sure you’re online.
- Choose Update & refresh in the toast or Updates inbox.
- Wait for the save. A successful save refreshes this tab and returns you to your saved project; a failed save leaves your work open for retry.
Everything in this release
Added
- Find the latest release near the bottom of the home page and browse the full changelog without signing in.
- Signed-in users can open Updates beside Account to read new releases, preview images and videos beside the release details, and mark individual releases or all updates read across their account.
- The Updates inbox starts without an old-release backlog: existing accounts receive releases published after this launch, and new accounts receive releases published after they join.
- A compact toast near the top appears when your open tab detects a new version. Choose Update & refresh to save your project and reload the same project, or Later to keep working.
- Updating waits for connectivity and unfinished edits; failed saves or changes to your account, project or work during the save keep the tab open. Saved work returns after refresh, while undo history and temporary selections reset.
